Update on the new Latinconnect platform

About a month ago, we launched the redesigned Latinconnect website, and we would like to sincerely thank you for your extensive feedback - both positive and critical.

As with most transitions involving a system of this complexity, the initial phase did not run completely without a hitch. Our team has been working flat out over the past few weeks to resolve the reported issues and will continue to prioritize fixing any remaining bugs. What do our users want?

In October 2025, we conducted a survey among the more than 1,700 users of our platform to find out how the various features are being used and where there is room for optimization. The results show that the vast majority of features are actively utilized. The only exceptions were three specific features that were being used by only a single tour operator.

Regarding suggestions for improvement, the following points were clearly at the forefront:

Which features will no longer be offered?

Based on this feedback, we have decided to discontinue certain features, as the maintenance effort is disproportionate to the actual number of users:

  • Adding Mark-ups: Visible prices are now available as net prices only. However, the currency conversion feature will remain. It is currently inactive but will be restored within the next few days.
  • Creating and managing branch offices: If you would like to grant your branch offices access to the platform, you can easily create additional user accounts under your main profile.
  • Configuring the Baku layout: We will gladly handle this configuration directly for you in the future. Please simply contact one of our DMC partners to coordinate and tailor the layout to your needs.

What does the future hold?

To make the platform even more powerful, the following features are already in the planning or implementation phase:

  • Booking visibility: Tour operators will be able to view their bookings with the DMCs directly on the Latinconnect site and, at a later stage, edit them as well (book/cancel).
  • AI-powered product search: The traditional search will be complemented by an intelligent bot, allowing queries to be made using simple prompts.
  • AI-powered itinerary planner: Creation of customizable itineraries using DMC products—directly linked to live availability.
  • API for third-party integration: Enables flexible connection of the entire DMC content to external systems (such as Nezasa).
