Along with El Mirador and Tikal, Calakmul one of the largest Maya cities ever discovered. The Calakmul Biosphere Reserve is unique of its kind and boasts an exuberant flora and fauna. As a highlight, we visit the once powerful Maya city of Calakmul, which lies deeply hidden in the rainforest and is only accessible via a narrow unpaved road.

But you will also visit the east coast which is not so touristic. Visit Xalapa with the Anthropological Museum explaining various hundered of years old Mexican cultures and traditions. You will have access to the ex-hacienda which was the former residence of the former president. Move your body with the rhythm of the Folklore dances in the port city of Veracruz and enjoy the picturesque town of Tlacotalpan. Another highlight is the boat trip on Lake Catemaco to the eco-reserve Nanciyaga.
