Following the successful awarding of the Travelife Partner Stage by GAPA Travel Panama, Caribbean Tours Cuba and Caribbean Tours Dominican Republic in the middle of last year, three more Latinconnect DMCs are now joining the process.
Our DMC partners Caribbean Tours Mexico, Latventure Argentina/Chile, and Latventure Peru will also embark on their certification journey starting in May. At Travelife, this means initially aiming for the Travelife Partner Stage.
In a comprehensive questionnaire, an action plan, and a sustainability policy, candidates demonstrate that they have already taken significant steps toward a more sustainable business model, focusing on environmental protection, fair working conditions, sustainable office management, ethical supplier relationships, and honest customer communication.
Throughout the process, the three sustainability managers from the DMCs will be supported by our representative, Katrin Schmitz, a certified Travelife coach (the audit itself will be conducted by an external consultant). This facilitates joint training sessions in Spanish and intensive exchange among the DMCs regarding the implementation of measures.
